
The Red Cross Organization of Vietnam is a social and humanitarian organization of the Vietnamese people established on November 23, 1946. President Ho Chi Minh was the first honour Chairman of the organizantion.
Its goal
The Red Cross Organization of Vietnam is a social organization of Vietnamese people operating for its objectives: “Humanity – Peace – Friendship” to approach the national goal: “Prosperous People – Strong Nation – Democratic, equal and civilized Society” and then the happiness for the People.
The Organization is one of members of the Viet Nam Father Front Organization as well as of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. Under the Constitution and the Law of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam the Organization is operating nationwide in accordance with its Charter and 7 basic principles: humanity, unbias, neutrality, independence, voluntariness, unity and universe.

1. Emergency assistance and humanitarian relief
2. Healthcare
3. First aids
4. Blood, tissue and organ donation
5. Seeking for information of loss people by war, natural disaster, and catastrophe.
6. Propaganda of humanitarian values
7. Catastrophe preparation and response
