On November 11, 2014, the Government issued Decree No.103/2014/NĐ-CP regulating minimum salaries for different regions applicabale to employees under employment contracts working for companies, cooperatives, working groups, farms, households, individuals, agencies for organiations.

The Decree takes effect from January 1st , 2015 (superseding Decree No.182/2013/NĐ-CP issued on November 14, 2013).

The minimum salaries for different regions will be applied from January 1st, 2015 as follows:

        Region I:       3.100.000 VND/month

        Region II:      2.750.000 VND/month

        Region III:     2.400.000 VND/month

        Region IV:     2.150.000 VND/month

Companies will adjust the salary rates on their payrolls and the salary rates written in employment contracts in accordance with the legal regulations on the Labour Code.

The State encourages companies to provide employees with higher salaries and wages than that was in the Decree No.103/2014/NĐ-CP.

The Ho Chi Minh City Export Processing and Industrial Zones Authority (HEPZA) will dissenminate the Decree No.103/2014/NĐ-CP to the companies from December 09 to 12, 2014.
