On March 15, 2013, HEPZA and State Bank – HCMC Branch organized a meeting between leaders of State Bank – HCMC Branch, commercial banks with infrastructure development companies and enterprises in EPZ-IPs who have demand of low-interest loans to stabilize operation, expand business, renew technology and increase competitive ability. Advantages and disadvantages of getting loans from the bank were also in the discussion.
At the meeting, representatives of commercial banks said that during past time, banks have launched a lot of low-interest loan packages suitable to every business. In order to help enterprises easily access bank loans, banks will have many support programs in 2013 such as adjusting the lending interest; considering lending limit; focusing to 5 sectors: manufacturing and high-tech, export, agriculture, supporting industry, small and medium-sized enterprises; carrying out many connection programs between banks and enterprises etc.
In the coming time, HEPZA and State Bank will enhance the cooperation with commercial banks to support loans to EPZ-IPs enterprises so that EPZ-IPs and each enterprise can well develop in the challenging market today.
